CV Job Matching

A match score without reasons only moves the uncertainty

Useful job matching should show what fits, the supporting CV evidence, unresolved gaps, and their importance.

Fit is not a universal number. A strong candidate for one role may not fit another, even when the job title is the same.

Start with structured requirements

Separate must-have, preferred, and learnable requirements. Add context such as team scale, customer type, tools, and expected outcomes.

Read evidence, not word similarity

Relevant experience can be described in different terms. Matching should connect the meaning of work and results, not only exact keywords.

Use gaps correctly

A gap is not automatically a weakness. Evidence may be missing from the CV, a skill may be transferable, or the requirement may need clarification. Turn gaps into interview questions or CV improvement priorities.

For recruiters and jobseekers

Recruiters use the insight to prioritize review. Jobseekers use it to select realistic targets and clarify evidence. Both still require human judgment.
